Tiramisu Latte
Tiramisu Latte
A creamy coffee drink with hints of chocolate, cocoa, espresso and rich, creamy mascarpone cold foam.
This Tiramisu latte recipe is inspired by the classic Italian dessert. I wanted to try a coffee drink that’s more than just a drink but one that almost feels like a dessert. The mascarpone cold foam on top really makes this drink feel like tiramisu as you can eat it like a dessert. I ate mine by dipping my savoiardi biscuits. SO GOOD!
I still wanted to share this drink recipe with you before moving onto the fall winter drinks.

Why You’ll love this Tiramisu Latte
- Tastes like a dessert: it combines the flavors of coffee, chocolate, (a bit of cocoa) and mascarpone. With a rich creamy mascarpone cold foam
- Simple ingredients: it’s made with simple ingredients that you’ll most likely have at home. I made a chocolate cocoa sirup which you can then store for up to 3-4 days in the fridge.
- Something special: this tiramisu latte just makes your average cafe latte, cappucino a bit more fancy and special.
Ingredients you’ll need to make a tiramisu latte
The ingredients for this tiramisu latte are simple.
Coffee: make sure to use really good and high quality coffee
Milk: you can use any milk of your choice. I used DUG drinks unsweetened Barista potato drink for a plant based version. You can also use their unsweetened barista or barista potato drink.
Mascarpone: any mascarpone will work here
Whipped cream: for the mascarpone cold foam I used a half fat cream ( in Switzerland it’s a “Halbrahm”) which has 1/2 the fat % as normal whipping cream
Vanilla: good quality vanilla. Pod or paste will work
Cocoa powder: I used a cocoa powder such as Cailler that’s 100% cocoa
Sugar: I used regular cane sugar
Chocolate: I used a dark chocolate for this recipe with 64% cocoa solids. You can also use a milk chocolate if you prefer for a sweeter taste.

How to make a tiramisu latte (Step by Step)
1. Make the chocolate cocoa sirup: in a small jug mix together the chopped chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar and lastly the hot espresso. Make sure the espresso is really hot so the chocolate can melt. Allow it to sit for 1 minute and then mix until smooth. Use a small hand whisk for this
2. Make the mascarpone cold foam: in a small jug mix together the mascarpone, whipped cream, milk, scraped vanilla bean or vanilla paste and simple sirup. With a small whisk/foamer whip the cream until soft peaks
(Make sure to not over whip the mascarpone cream. You want it to be nice and creamy)
3. Brew the espresso: I like to add an extra shot of espresso into the latte since i like mine rather strong. Even though the sirup has espresso in it, I would still suggest to add another shot for more coffee flavor.
4. Assemble the latte:
- In the bottom of your glass add the chocolate-espresso sirup (about 30g) (depends on the size of our glass you can add more or less of the sirup) (I used a 400ml glass)
- Add milk of choice ( I used a potato milk for this latte called DUG DRINKS unsweetened Barista, but any milk will do)
- Give it a whisk until combined
- Add ice cubes if desired
- Add the shot of espresso or double
- Top up with the mascarpone cold foam
- Add a dusting of cocoa powder and enjoy with a savoiardi biscuit (optional)
